Harpist NW12 is one of the most outstanding young musicians I have ever had the pleasure of working with. She has developed a high technical level on her instrument and exhibits great subtlety in the range and quality of sound. All of these technical resources are allied to an extraordinary sense of innate musicianship.

Her ability to bring a personal interpretation to each piece she plays is exceptional and she has an assured sense of musical style. She is an outstanding communicator on her instrument and her performances are vibrant, committed and totally engaging for the audience.

She has built up an extensive repertoire ranging from early music to music our own time. She is an extremely versatile musician and performs orchestral, chamber and solo music. Of particular interest to me is her commitment to contemporary music. She has performed my harp piece endless the while clouds…, for her final exams and on a number of subsequent occasions. It is a technically demanding work, composed for the 9^th International Harp Congress in 2005. She has given outstanding performances of the piece, marked by technical brilliance and interpretive insight.

She is ambitious to develop her career as a harpist in all the areas outlined above. She is keen to develop new repertoire and commission new works from contemporary Irish composers. She needs and deserves a high quality harp to fulfil these ambitions. I request and encourage the Musical Capital Scheme to support her application.
