Winner of the Royal Over-Seas
League Annual Music Competition Award for Strings and
Marisa Robles Harp Prize 2002, Eleanor is one of the most
original and innovative performers of the harp in the UK.
Eleanor delights audiences with her radiant
interpretations of the classics in the harp repertoire,
presented alongside the lesser-known contemporary works of
living composers such as Kelly-Marie Murphy, Ami Maayani ,
Sally Beamish and Rev. Philip Joy.
Born in England in 1982, she began her formal musical
education at the Royal College of Music Junior Department
with Daphne Boden. She then undertook further studies
abroad, in masterclasses with Catherine Michel, Susann
McDonald and Erika Waardenburg. |
Currently a student of Alison
Nicholls, Eleanor gives recitals at venues such as
London’s South Bank Centre, St. James’s Piccadilly and St
Martin in the Fields.
Equally at home in front of the orchestra, Eleanor made
her concerto debut at the age of 15 with the Academy of St
Martin in the Fields conducted by Daniel Harding and
broadcast live on Classic Fm. She performs frequently with
the English Baroque Ensemble and appears with her chamber
music groups at celebrated music festivals around the
world.In between her
many cultural engagements, Eleanor also brings her talent
to the masses by performing and weddings and corporate
events. Below are YouTube clips of Eleanor performing
