This harpist has been playing the harp since
1996. She studied at the Junior School of the Royal
Northern College of Music in Manchester, with Eira Lynn
Jones, from 2001 until 2004. During this time she gained a
Distinction in her Grade 8 on harp. She then moved to
Ampleforth College in Yorkshire, to which she won the
major music scholarship, and was taught there by Rachel
Dent. Since leaving Ampleforth she has passed her
Associated Board Diploma on piano.
Over the years she has played with various orchestras,
including the Amadeus Orchestra, Guildhall Orchestra of
York and the Sale Chamber Orchestra, with whom she
premiered a new work. She also performed Handel's Harp
Concerto with the Ampleforth College orchestra in 2006.
Furthermore, having won various classes at the Leamington
Spa Competitive Festival between 1998 and 2001, she went
on to become the Regional Winner of the Harrogate Music
Festival in 2005. |
