She began playing the harp with Brenda
Barron at the Foyle Irish Harp School which was co-founded
by Brenda and her father Seamus.
At the age of sixteen she became an assistant teacher at
the Foyle Irish Harp School.
During her time at the school she entered
the Deny Feis on many occasions. (The
Annual Derry Feis is the North West's largest
celebration of Irish musical culture), where she won the
solo Harpist event many times.
As an experienced Harpist she has given
recitals, played for many dignitaries
including Princess Ann,
President Bill Clinton and John Major and has played
in France and America.
She
has recently completed her study of music at The University Of Ulster, at the
Magee Campus in Derry, where she was awarded a second class honours degree upper
division. Her final year included performance as two of the core modules..
She is available to perform at weddings, corporate events,
product launches, etc. |
