Rachel began studying
the harp with Dorothy Gilbertson of Harrogate before
accepting a place at the Royal Northern College of Music
where she is now in her final year, studying with Eira
Lynn Jones. In 1999 she received the Dearden Award for
Achievement and the United Kingdom Harp Association Award.
Rachel has given many recitals, including St Ann’s church,
Manchester and as part of the Hull International Music
Festival she has played with may orchestras including the
Hallé Orchestra and Manchester Camerata. In addition to
her Harp Studies, Rachel is a founder member of the
Millennium Youth Choir and the National Youth Choir of
Great Britain, with whom she has take a World Tour. |
