Whilst
attending Torquay
Grammar School for Girls, Louise began to
study the harp with Emma Graham at the age of 12. After
having only been playing the harp for 4 years, she was
accepted into the
Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London,
where she studied for 1 year with Charlotte Seale.
After giving
numerous solo recitals in Devon and around the country,
including playing for Princess Anne, she then went onto
study at the prestigious
Chethams School of
Music in Manchester for Sixth Form, studying
with Eira Lynn Jones. Here she was given the opportunity
to tour Holland giving solo performances in Amsterdam,
Den Haag and Amstelveen. In her final year at Chethams,
Louise was awarded The Ida Carroll String Prize as well
as The Curren Geography Prize.
Previous
performances have included playing for BBC Radio 3,
playing at the Royal Albert Hall, London, St. Davids
Hall, Cardiff and the Bridgewater Hall, Manchester as a
soloist with the Black Dyke Brass Band. I
