Hannah is currently studying on the BMus course at the
Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow. She
comes from the Highlands of Scotland with a background in
both traditional music with the clarsach and classical
piano. She studies solo, chamber and orchestral
repertoire under her tutor Karen Vaughan (co-principal of
the LSO). Hannah has played in the RSAMD Symphony,
Chamber, Opera and Wind Orchestras as well as orchestras
in and around Glasgow and the Highlands. She has
performed in many different venues including the Glasgow
Royal Concert Hall, Edinburgh Festival Theatre, Glasgow’s
Theatre Royal and Inverness’ Eden Court Theatre. In
January 2007 she was chosen to play second harp in Ravel’s
L’Heure Espagnol as part of the Scottish Opera
Apprenticeship Scheme. As part of the annual Plug
Festival festival at the RSAMD Hannah played with the
Hebrides Ensemble in a programme of new music. She has
played in masterclasses with Natalia Sheymeyeva, Edward
Witsenburg and Carrol McLaughlin. Hannah regularly
performs at weddings and functions on pedal harp and
clarsach in locations through out Scotland.
