Harpist
SE33 is an accomplished young harpist currently working as freelance orchestral
and chamber musician. She graduated with a double first in music from St.
Peter's College, Oxford, where she was both an instrumental and academic
scholar, and is presently completing a Masters degree at the Royal Academy of
Music where her studies are generously supported by the Kathleen Trust, Craxton
Memorial Trust, John Wates Charitable Trust, Michael James Music Trust, and the
Yorkshire Ladies Council of Education.
She has recorded for both the Decca and Avie record labels with New College and
Christchurch Cathedral Choirs, Oxford, respectively. In December she performed
Britten’s Ceremony of Carols for harp and boys choir in Buckingham Palace with
Her Majesty’s Choir of the Chapel Royal, which was broadcast on Classic FM on
Christmas afternoon. She has also recently appeared with her flute duo partner
as guest recital artists on board P&O and Fred Olsen cruise ships. An
experienced orchestral player, she was, for several years, the principal harp of
the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, and of the Oxford University
Orchestra. She has performed with many other groups including the City of London
Sinfonia, London Soloists Chamber Orchestra, Salomon Orchestra and Minehead
Festival Orchestra. She has recently been appointed a member of the London
Philharmonic Orchestra's Foyle Future First scheme for the academic year
2011/12. This harpist is also a committee member of the United Kingdom Harp
Association.
Harpist SE33 has played for numerous functions and weddings across London and
surrounding counties, notably at Buckingham Palace for Princess Anne and Spencer
House for Lord Rothschild. Other venues include Kensington Palace, Eltham
Palace, Blenheim Palace (Oxfordshire), Penshurst Place (Kent), Waddesdon Manor
(Buckinghamshire), Highclere Castle (Hampshire), BMA House (Tavistock Square)
and the London Wetlands Centre (Barnes). She has also entertained for various
livery company dinners in London including at the Merchant Taylor’s Hall,
Pewterer’s Hall, and Armourer’s Hall for the Worshipful Company of Armourers and
Brasiers, and regularly plays for afternoon tea at Coworth Park, the five-star
luxury hotel near Ascot.
She has a wide ranging and varied repertoire which she is able to tailor to suit
your needs. |
