Helen, a
very talented harpist, was born in Shropshire and
started learning the harp when she was 12 years old. She
studied under the Harpist Charlotte Seale. In 1999, she
graduated with a Bachelor of music degree with honours
from the Royal Holloway University of London and went on
to obtain a postgraduate qualification in music
education.
As a soloist, Helen has gained extensive performing
experience throughout the UK, to include a large number
of public recitals and music festivals. She has played
for the Royal Holloway Symphony and Chamber Orchestra,
where performance venues have included St John’s Smith
Square, London, and has taken the post of Principle
Harpist with the Worcester Philharmonic Orchestra.
Since
1991, Helen has taken great pleasure in playing at
weddings and other special occasions, and has
considerable experience in this area. She would be happy
to advise you in which pieces are suitable for wedding
ceremonies if required.
