As a freelance harp player, this harpist has played for
many orchestras in the south of England, including West
Forest Sinfonia, Canterbury Festival Orchestra, the London
Gala Orchestra, Chameleon Arts Orchestra, the Midland
Symphony Orchestra, South East Opera. She is the regular
harpist for Stowe Opera where she played the important
harp solo in Lucia di Lammermoor. She has made
recordings of music by Paul Carr for Claudio Records and
of Francis Grier’s new oratorio ‘Around The Curve of
the World’ for Somm and of Britten’s Ceremony of
Carols. Jenny also appears on a new cd of British
flute music, ‘Summer was in August’, broadcast on
Classic FM. She has broadcast for Radio 4 and played for
the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford at both
theatres, at the Barbican and on tour. Jenny also plays
solo, in concertos and a wide variety of chamber music.
She
has played at more than a hundred weddings, sometimes for
the ceremony and sometimes for the reception or both, at
all sorts of venues including; |

Blenheim Palace, Hever Castle,
Ascot Royal Enclosure, Stansted House, Avington Park,
Wentworth Golf Club, The Vineyard at Stockcross, Combe
Manor, Hotel du Vin at Winchester, Walpole House,
Strawberry Hill, and on board the New Orleans, but also at
the bride’s farmhouse home!
Background music is chosen from a range of different
styles including light classical Spanish, French and
English music, favourite songs from the shows and opera,
classic favourites, transcriptions from lute and guitar
repertoire. |
