Oxford harpist Karina was surrounded by music from a young age, learning
to play the violin and piano, then later the flute.
She studied for a BA(Hons) in music at the University of
East Anglia and was an active member in the Norfolk music
community playing in a number of orchestras and ensembles,
including the Norfolk Youth Orchestra, the UEA Orchestra,
and the Norwich Philharmonic Orchestra
Karina
was inspired to begin playing the harp after attending a
workshop, subsequently studying under Catherine White.
As well as taking private bookings, Karina indulges
her passion for the harp as the principal harpist for the
Banbury Symphony and Cherwell Orchestras.
She also works as an accompanist and a musical director
for several amateur dramatics groups and choirs and has
organised many musical performances during her time as a
primary school teacher.
As well as holding Grade 8 harp with Distinction, Karina
is also a Grade 8 flautist and has a diploma qualification
(DipABRSM) on piano.
Karina is an experienced musician based in the Oxfordshire
area. She is available to play for weddings, civil
partnerships, corporate events and other occasions. Her
repertoire is varied and tailored to your function. |
