Marie-France is an experienced harpist
for all occasions covering Bristol and South West of
England.
The harp is one of the oldest known
musical instruments. Whether it is a modern concert harp
or the more intimate Celtic harp, in the hands of a
skilled artist it can create the right atmosphere; be it
solemn or joyously expressive, reverent or reflective
this is achieved without overwhelming people.
Originally from East Sussex, Marie-France studied the
harp at the Conservatoire of Besancon and has been
playing the harp since she was 12 years old. For many
years now Marie has played in the finest venues in the
South West of England for such events as:
Wedding civil ceremonies, church
services, civil partnerships, receptions, wedding
breakfasts, christenings, birthday parties,
anniversaries, corporate functions, product launches,
dinner functions/parties, charity events, funerals, and
many other special occasions.
Her repertoire includes
-
light and romantic classical
-
traditional Welsh, Scottish and Irish
-
music from shows and musicals
-
popular music from 20th and
21st century with some jazz and latin.
