Pam
was brought up in Wales: the land of music and song. Her
first instrument was the piano which she played and taught
for many years. However, she had always dreamed of playing
the harp.
At a visit to the Sidmouth Folk Festival, she found
herself with the opportunity to purchase her first harp -
a small Celtic lap harp. Since then she has progressed
through various folk harps and now plays an elegant Salvi
Egan: an Italian electro/acoustic professional Celtic
harp. This harp is created to give a powerful sound,
whilst preserving the acoustic natural character of the
instrument. A high clarity of sound is also created when
it is played without amplification due to the length of
its strings and magnificent soundboard. Pam also plays a
Salvi Eire, which is a 23 string lap harp suitable for
small venues, or where the large Egan is unable to go,
e.g. up a spiral staircase to the top of a castle!
If you are looking to enrich the atmosphere of your
wedding: the harp is the ideal instrument. As well as
adding elegance it creates a warm musical ambience while
the guests arrive and/or while the register is being
signed. It is also perfect for creating a magnificent
sound while the bride arrives and when the bride and groom
exit. The harp creates a lovely musical backdrop for many
other occasions too, such as wedding receptions, birthday
or anniversary parties, Christmas parties, dinner parties
or garden parties as well as the more formal occasions
such as Church Services, funerals and Christenings.
Pam has an extensive collection of Celtic, classical,
popular and Christian music. Pam is always happy to give
advice on the most suitable music for your special
occasion. |
