Born in Ogmore Vale, this Welsh harpist began harp lessons at
12 years old with Lowri Phillips. Whilst at school she won RCT Rotary Young
Musician of the Year and enjoyed two years with the National Youth
Orchestra
of Wales. Upon entering the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama she received
harp tutoring from world class artists Meinir Heulyn, Caryl Thomas and Valerie
Aldrich Smith.
During her time at college she performed extensively as a soloist, chamber and
orchestral musician.
Notable performances include:-
1)Playing with several different ensembles for HRH Prince of Wales and HRH
Duchess of Cornwall
2)Performing as a soloist Ravel's Introduction and Allegro with Cheltenham
Festival Academy at Cheltenham Music Festival
3)Playing second harp with English Symphony Orchestra at the Elgar Festival
4)Performing as a soloist Debussy's Danses with RWCMD String Orchestra
5)Obtaining a First for her final recital at the Royal Welsh College of Music
and Drama. Harpist
W20 has performed extensively in weddings, business functions, parties, funerals
and other events. She also teaches harp and is currently teaching harp to
pupils across various schools in South Wales.
