Harpist NW15,
completed sixth form at Chatham's School of Music in 2007 and has now graduated
from the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. She has been playing
the harp since the age of nine and has studied with tutors including: Eira Lynn
Jones, Rachel Dent, Gabriella dal’Olio and Honor Wright, also participating in
master classes with Catrin Finch, Park Stickney, David Watkins, Hugh Webb,
Kathleen Bride, Clifford Lantaff, Catriona Mckay, Fiona Clifton-Welker and
Margit-Anna Süß. She has given lunchtime
recitals at Emmanuel Church in Didsbury and Liverpool Hope University.
Having now
graduated, this Manchester based harpist, spends her time playing for orchestras
around the North of England, recent concerts include performances with
Huddersfield Philharmonic, the Academy of St. Olave's, York, Hull Philharmonic,
and a week of playing for 42nd Street in Newcastle's Theatre Royal. She also
plays for many weddings and other social functions.
She
plays for numerous weddings, providing appropriate music for the entrance of the
bride and signing of the register, and setting the right atmosphere at the
reception. Her wedding repertoire is extremely varied, including popular
classics, songs from the shows, and jazz.
During her
time at RNCM, she regularly played for the RNCM Concert Orchestra and the RNCM
Symphony Orchestra, in Summer 2010 she was selected to join the RNCM Symphony
Orchestra in Montepulciano for the Cantiere Internazionale d'Arte. She enjoys
chamber music and has been involved in harp duets, trios, quartets and, in 2007
Angelina played in a new work commissioned for the RNCM harp ensemble by
Catherine Kontz, involving ten harps! Currently she plays with a harp quartet
that has given concerts at the Bridgewater Hall, Whitechapel Art Gallery, and in
Summer 2011 the quartet ‘Clouds’ organised concerts in Edinburgh, the North
East, Yorkshire, Manchester and Wales to promote their first CD. |
