She splits her time between London
and Suffolk, she has played with all the major London
symphony orchestras, most regularly the London
Philharmonic, and has been lucky enough to tour all of
over the world. She also freelances with many of the
leading chamber orchestras and was principal Harp with
Northern Ballet Theatre for a number of years.
After reading music at Clare
College, Cambridge, She became a scholar at the Royal
College of Music. She was awarded funding by the Countess
of Munster Fund and the Martin Musical Scholarship Fund
for her postgraduate studies. She has also received money
from the Loan Fund for Musical Instruments, the Abbado
Trust, the RCM Alumni Fund and the Lady Clare Fund in
order to facilitate the purchase of her harps. As a
chamber musician she is active with the multi instrument
group CHROMA.
She also has an active teaching
practice which includes the positions of harp teacher at
the Centre for Young Musicians at Morley College, Framlingham College and Ipswich School as well as a number
of private students in both London and Suffolk. She will
be running an annual harp course in conjunction with CYM
from Easter 2009.
This Harpist enjoys providing music
for weddings and functions. She enjoys talking through
music options and arranging music where necessary, taking
experience from her years of providing music for afternoon
tea at the Landmark Hotel in London.
