Hi there,
Yes, we loved the harpist and the flautist. As you may
recall we had asked her to learn to play The Hawaiian Wedding song for the civil
ceremony.
This was important as my daughter is a huge Elvis fan (
we actually had an Elvis tribute singer perform during the evening) and she and
her husband were off on Honeymoon shortly after to Hawaii, so it all fitted
well.
Not only did she learn the song especially but, a few
weeks prior to the wedding, my daughter decided that the words were key to the
ceremony, so wanted her uncle to sing along. All fine, except he would sing in
the key of G and the harpist would play in Dmaj. When we mentioned this, without
even being asked, she said she would try to learn it in G, and she did.
It was fab. I think both the harpist and the flautist
added so much emotion to the ceremony and we are very grateful to them both for
contributing so much to such a special day. They also arrived very promptly,
early in fact.
I'm attaching a few photos, taken by a guest, as we've
not received the official photographer's ones yet.
Thanks again. Harriet Barbir |
