Harpist
SE41 began playing piano from the age of four, but her passion for the harp was
sparked whilst watching a harp competition at the age of nine.
Since then she went on to study under Julia Mackinder and Margaret Knight.
She joined Harrow Music School in 1992 and was there for eight years. For four
of those years she was principal harpist with their philharmonic orchestra.
Whilst studying at Durham University she was principal harpist for the Chamber
and Symphony Orchestras from 2000-2003. Highlights included performing
'Britten's Ceremony of Carols by Candlelight' and Faure's Requiem in Durham
Cathedral.
Since 2003 she has been freelancing, performing with various orchestras and
choral societies as well as at weddings all over the UK.
This harpist is passionate about exploring the versatility of the harp and has a
desire to work with other genres and artists creating innovative sounds.
Since 2006 she has worked with emerging musician, Karen Grace, writing all harp
parts including those featured on Karen's debut album "FInd Me". She regularly
improvises with Karen and enjoys performing live in London and beyond.
