SE41 began playing piano from the age of four, but her passion for the harp was
sparked whilst watching a harp competition at the age of nine.
Since then she went on to study under Julia Mackinder and Margaret Knight.
She joined Harrow Music School in 1992 and was there for eight years. For four
of those years she was principal harpist with their philharmonic orchestra.
Whilst studying at Durham University she was principal harpist for the Chamber
and Symphony Orchestras from 2000-2003. Highlights included performing
'Britten's Ceremony of Carols by Candlelight' and Faure's Requiem in Durham
Since 2003 she has been freelancing, performing with various orchestras and
choral societies as well as at weddings all over the UK.
Since 2006 she worked with emerging musician, Karen Grace, writing all harp
parts including those featured on Karen's debut album "Find Me". She regularly
improvises with Karen and enjoys performing live in London and beyond.
harpist is passionate about exploring the versatility of the harp and is
committed to working with other artists. Susannah has recently returned to the
UK having spent 7 months studying Brazilian popular music in Rio, Brazil with
Cristina Braga. She recorded her debut album in Rio , due for release by the end
